I am also not a fan of flap discs, I eat them up too fast and they cost too much. Maybe I am using them wrong. I do 90% of all my grinding with a 4.5" angle grinder w/ standard grinding wheel, and roloc sanding discs on a die grinder. The roloc wheels are cheap and work for me.
