Dec 14, 2015· Frame shops use chop saws to miter aluminum frames, the cuts are very tight and clean. When cutting be sure the aluminum is held in place and slowly bring the blade through. I would not cut steel with a abrasive blade on that saw. You might buy an old used all metal expendable 7 1/4 inch portable saw and use the abrasive blades on that.
